Applicants for the forthcoming police constable recruitment examination have been advised by the Katsina State Police Command to rigorously adhere to established procedures and avoid falling prey to fraudsters.
The warning was issued by the Commissioner of Police, Ali Umar-Fage, in a statement released on Sunday by the command’s spokesperson, Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu.
He disclosed that the nationwide examination is scheduled to take place from April 28 to April 30 in Katsina State and that the exercise will be conducted at Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic along Dutsin-Ma Road.
The commissioner has stated that the examination will be open to only those who have successfully completed the physical and credential screening that was recently completed.
From April 24, applicants are instructed to access the official recruitment portal to print their coloured examination invitation cards, which include the specific date, time, and venue.
Mr. Umar-Fage stated that candidates must present a valid National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) at the examination center, along with a clear photograph, their printed coloured invitation slip, and a writing stylus.
He also stated that the exercise’s attire code is a white T-shirt, white shorts, and white canvas shoes.
The police chief reiterated that the recruitment process is wholly free of charge and cautioned applicants to be cautious of individuals or groups that attempt to extort money under the guise of facilitating recruitment.
He emphasised that individuals who were discovered to be engaging in fraudulent activities would be subject to the full force of the law.
In addition, the commissioner advised candidates to arrive at their designated centers early, adhere strictly to the schedule on their papers, and maintain orderliness throughout the exercise.
He strongly encouraged all eligible applicants to adhere to the guidelines in order to guarantee a transparent and efficient recruitment process.
